The hospital secured wins for initiatives that advanced public health education and improved diagnostic workflows.
Asian Hospital and Medical Center received accolades in the Marketing Initiative of the Year - Philippines and the Technology Innovation of the Year - Philippines categories at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026, recognising programmes focused on cardiovascular awareness and radiology operations.
Making atherosclerosis understood through measurable outreach
The Marketing Initiative of the Year - Philippines category was awarded for MEET ATE ROSE®: Making the World’s #1 Killer Easy to Understand and Hard to Ignore. The campaign addressed low awareness of atherosclerosis, a leading cause of heart attacks and strokes in the Philippines, through digital campaigns and major media pickups. It expanded through collaborations with media organisations and the Philippine Department of Health.
As of October 2025, the initiative recorded 103.6 million video reach, equivalent to 180% of its target, and achieved 165 million total reach, including press and media coverage. The Ate Rose® Facebook page generated 2.1 million total reach, 11,000 followers, and 47,000 page visits.
Clinical data reflected increased utilisation of cardiovascular services. Treadmill census rose by 8% over October 2024 year-to-date, coronary angiogram census increased by 7%, percutaneous coronary intervention census grew by 38%, and other cardiac catheterisation procedures rose by 62%. Coronary artery bypass graft procedures increased by 46% compared to 2019 and by 12% over October 2024 year-to-date.
Standardising radiology workflows through system integration
The hospital won the Technology Innovation of the Year - Philippines title for the deployment and optimisation of the Envision Radiology Information System, which commenced on 31 January 2024.
During Hospital Information System downtimes, the Radiology Department continued operations through a defined Envision RIS workflow, maintaining stable turnaround times despite system interruptions. Additional features introduced on 15 January 2025 included visit type classification and case flagging to prioritise urgent cases and support reporting.
Workflow refinements for X-ray and ultrasound services were implemented in October 2025, with expansion to CT scan and MRI units on 20 January 2026 to align processes across imaging modalities. Average turnaround time for Emergency Department STAT X-ray procedures improved to 22 minutes from procedure start to results release, compared to the target turnaround time of 60 minutes or lower.
