Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists (Kota Kinabalu) in Sabah clinches win at Healthcare Asia Awards 2026

Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists (Kota Kinabalu) won the Health Promotion Initiative of the Year - Malaysia accolade at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026 for successfully launching a proactive fertility awareness and health promotion programme even before commencing clinical operations, which has reframed fertility as a preventive health priority rather than a last-resort treatment.

Through early assessment education, reproductive health literacy, and outreach across urban and rural districts in Sabah, Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists (Kota Kinabalu) has reduced stigma and encouraged earlier health-seeking behaviour. This education-first strategy led to strong early patient engagement, with many patients seeking fertility assessments. In turn, it has enabled earlier diagnoses, broader treatment options, and better long-term outcomes.

The centre has strengthened access through partnerships with general practitioners in Sabah and Brunei, cross-border referral networks, and collaborations with local hotels to ease travel burdens.

Beyond community engagement, the company has also demonstrated leadership in advancing women’s health knowledge across the region. Its female doctors have performed advanced microwave ablation procedures in Malaysia and Thailand, and have expanded fertility education by training general practitioners and engaging couples through professional associations, amongst other initiatives.
