Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital clinches Clinical Service Initiative of the Year - Thailand at this year's Healthcare Asia Awards.

Hear from the hospital's Associate Professor (Medical Genetics), Boonsri Chanrachakul, as he talks about the hospital's preterm prevention program, initiated in 2016, which has shown promising results in reducing the incidence of preterm birth and related complications. By implementing screening, progesterone supplementation, and cervical pessary insertion. It achieved a significant reduction in preterm birth rates, including a 53% decrease in births before 34 weeks of gestation and a 66.7% decrease in respiratory distress syndrome cases. Its ongoing efforts aim to further improve the program and reduce the occurrence of preterm birth and its associated risks.
