Changi General Hospital rolls out inhaler recycling programme in SG

Plastic parts are processed into NEWBitumen, a material used in road construction.

Singapore’s Changi General Hospital (CGH) has launched the inhaler recycling programme ‘ReBreathe’.

The inhaler’s plastic components are processed into NEWBitumen, a material used in road construction.

Under the initiative, all types of used inhalers can be collected for recycling.

The programme was expanded following an earlier pilot at the hospital. It is currently implemented at CGH  with designated collection points for patients and visitors to return used inhalers.
