Construction begins on $68m Moree Hospital redevelopment

It is slated for completion by 2027.

Construction is underway on the $68m (A$105m) Moree Hospital redevelopment in New South Wales, Australia, with a sod-turning ceremony held to mark the start of main works.

The project will feature a new purpose-built acute services building on the existing hospital campus to house the emergency department, operating theatres, medical imaging, birthing and inpatient unit, pathology, and a new main entry.

Hutchinson Builders has been engaged to deliver the project, with support from up to 90 sub-contractors at the peak of construction.

The redevelopment is scheduled for completion in 2027. Meanwhile, all hospital services will continue to operate during construction.
