Seoul National University Hospital opens R&D hub in Boston
The global centre also focuses on technology commercialisation.
South Korea’s Seoul National University Hospital has launched a new centre in Boston dedicated to research and development and technology commercialisation.
The Seoul National University Hospital Global R&D Hub Center (Boston Office), located at the CIC Cambridge Innovation Center, serves as a key ‘Triangle Hub’ under the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s specialised research institute project.
The centre will focus on analysing global trends in advanced bio industries, identifying new research and business opportunities, and launching international joint research projects with Harvard Medical School, MIT, and Stanford, amongst others.
It will also support the training of physician-scientists and key research talent, develop commercialisation strategies for domestic technologies, identify early-stage bio startups, and promote local investment.
