TMC Life Sciences Berhad net profit dwindles to $2.12m for Q3

The group’s revenue increased to $18.3m (RMB86.1m).

Malaysia’s TMC Life Sciences Berhad has recorded a net profit of $2.12m (RMB9.96m) for the third quarter (Q3), a 30% decrease compared to the previous corresponding quarter due to a higher tax expense.

Meanwhile, the group’s profit before taxation amounted to $2.66m (RMB12.5m), representing a 5% increase from the previous corresponding quarter.

Revenue for the quarter also increased by 6% at $18.3m (RMB86.1m).

According to the group, the increase in profit before taxation was due to the higher intensity of cases handled at Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara (THKD), recovery in the fertility business, and an increase in interest income.
