Singapore's Health ministry grants $78.9m in first tranche of community care pay rise

Salary guidelines provided at least a 7% increase.

Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) will provide a first tranche of around $78.9m (S$100m) to support higher wages for about 23,000 staff in Community Care Organisations (CCO), Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said in a press release.

The revised salary guidelines will involve “about a 7% or more increase in total annual remuneration” for staff in the sector, he said.

The updated guidelines will be issued in the next couple of months and are expected to be ready for implementation by the end of this year or early next year.

MOH will also increase subsidies for long-term care services, including nursing homes, Senior Care Centres and Home Personal Care, with the subsidy adjustments taking effect in July 2026.
