The Philippine Department of Health has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jamaica to boost health workforce sustainability.
The partnership includes provisions for deploying Filipino healthcare workers to Jamaica to help address its health workforce shortage.
Meanwhile, a ‘Joint Technical Working Group’ will be established to develop a plan for implementing the MoU.
The agreement also includes deploying trainers and faculty members to enhance professional competencies, sharing expertise in biotechnology and epidemiology, and improving healthcare waste management.
