NUH, NUS launch Molecular Imaging and Theranostics Centre in Singapore
The facility features the country’s first total-body PET/CT system.
The National University Hospital (NUH) and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore have jointly launched the Molecular Imaging and Theranostics Centre.
The facility features Singapore’s first total-body positron emission tomography-computer tomography (PET/CT) system, introduced in partnership with Siemens Healthineers.
The PET/CT scanner, located at the NUH Medical Centre, is expected to be operational by early November and will serve approximately 2,900 patients annually. It will also support a range of clinical trials and research programmes.
In line with this, the centre plans to advance theranostics, a field that integrates diagnostic imaging with targeted therapy.
