NTU-Singapore TARIPH Centre secures $7.4m respiratory health research grant
The centre will collaborate with partners to conduct patient-centric translational research.
Nanyang Technological University Singapore’s (NTU Singapore) 'The Academic Respiratory Initiative for Pulmonary Health' (TARIPH) Centre has been awarded $7.4m (S$10m) under the country’s first national research grant for respiratory health.
Through the ‘Open Fund-Large Collaborative Grant’, the TARIPH Centre will collaborate with partners to conduct patient-centric translational research on respiratory health.
The NTU-led programme will involve researchers from nine institutions, including all public healthcare clusters, medical schools, public agencies, and international and industry partners.
Moreover, it will focus on five integrated themes specific to Asia, addressing environmental, social, cultural, and health factors unique to the region.
Participating institutions include NTU, Singapore General Hospital, National University Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Science, National Healthcare Group Polyclinics, Alexandra Hospital, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential.
