Northern Beaches Hospital to join NSW public health system

Clinical teams are collaborating to update the hospital’s ‘Clinical Services Plan’.

Northern Beaches Hospital is set to join the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) public health system ahead of its planned transition to a public facility next year.

Hospital staff have begun receiving letters of offer to join NSW Health as part of the integration process, according to the NSLHD.

Clinical staff from both organisations are collaborating to update the hospital’s ‘Clinical Services Plan’.

The review will confirm role delineation for each speciality, assess service capacity, and explore opportunities for innovation and private service delivery.

The update will also support the hospital’s transition to a level five public facility.
