New Zealand’s Stratford Health Centre adopts new digital X-ray system
The upgrade follows earlier installations in Hāwera and Waitara.
A new digital X-ray system has been installed at the Stratford Health Centre in Taranaki, New Zealand, Health Minister Simeon Brown announced.
The upgrade completes the rollout of digital X-ray machines across Taranaki’s satellite health centres, following earlier installations in Hāwera and Waitara.
In addition, radiology services are set to expand further with the opening of the New East Building radiology department at Taranaki Base Hospital in 2026.
The department will feature a second CT machine, a fluoroscopy unit, a new MRI, SPECT CT, cone beam CT, ultrasound, and enhanced X-ray capabilities.
