Mongolia receives $43.2m funding from EBRD for 250-bed hospital in Darkhan
The government has also received a $5.4m (€5m) capital grant.
Mongolia has received a sovereign $43.2m (€40.3m) loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the establishment of a 250-bed hospital in Darkhan.
The financing will enable the regional hospital to be equipped with advanced medical technologies, new diagnostic tools, and treatments for the country’s leading causes of death.
Moreover, the building will cater to standards of energy efficiency, water conservation, and the use of sustainable materials in its construction.

In addition to the loan, the government of Mongolia has also received a $5.4m (€5m) capital grant from EBRD.
As of April, the bank has invested over $2.5b (€2.3b) in Mongolia’s economy through 140 projects, with 90% of the funds channelled to support private-sector companies.
