Indonesia outlines master plan for unified health development
The country’s health sector master plan (RIBK) aligns with the mandate of the Health Law 17 of 2023.
Indonesia’s president, Joko Widodo, emphasised the need for a health sector master plan (RIBK), as a reference for the central government, regions, and the private sector in carrying out health development.
In a statement, the president stated that health development programs by the regional governments should be integrated with the central government for significant progress.
The RIBK’s preparation is in line with the mandate of the Health Law 17 of 2023 where the health budget is set according to a program’s needs or priorities.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Ministry of Health held a two-day Rakerkesnas 2024 meeting wherein about 2,100 participants attended to coordinate central and regional development plans.
