Continuing medical education market to be valued at $14.6b by 2030

Virtual simulations and interactive webinars now rival in-person symposia.

The continuing medical education market is projected to reach $14.6b by 2030 at a compound annual growth rate of 9.15%, according to Research and Markets.

The sector’s expansion is attributed to technological developments, changing learner expectations, and new regulatory imperatives.

“Learner preferences have shifted decisively toward flexible, on-demand formats, enabling professionals to integrate education seamlessly into busy clinical schedules,” the report said.

Meanwhile, digital platforms are offering virtual simulations and interactive webinars that match in-person symposia in terms of engagement and outcomes.

“Providers are investing in adaptive learning technologies capable of tailoring content to individual competency profiles,” it added.
