Burjeel Holdings and Axiom Space to test diabetes monitoring in space

The initiative will be conducted during Axiom Mission 4.

Burjeel Holdings PLC and Axiom Space are set to conduct a joint mission focused on diabetes management in space.

The initiative, titled ‘Suite Ride’, will be conducted during Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), scheduled for launch in May.

It will evaluate the performance of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) in microgravity to assess their accuracy and reliability in space conditions.

The mission’s preflight, inflight, and postflight protocols will use various testing methods to validate these technologies.

In addition, the Ax-4 mission plans to look at insulin exposure in space to assess the potency and stability of the drug product upon its return to Earth.
