Australia’s FWLHD unveils chronic and complex wound and stoma clinic

The clinic will operate once a week from Broken Hill Hospital.

Far West Local Health District (FWLHD) in Australia has launched a chronic and complex wound and stoma care clinic following a 20-week trial.

Located at Broken Hill Hospital, the clinic will operate once a week and provide specialised nursing care for patients with chronic and complex wounds and stomas, including those with colostomies, urostomies, and ileostomies.

Moreover, patients can also access remote health services via telehealth appointments.

The clinic accepts referrals from healthcare providers across FWLHD, including GPs, tertiary hospitals, and local healthcare settings.
