Australia unveils $924.2k women’s health research grants in Victoria

The Australian government in Victoria has introduced a new grants programme to advance research into women’s health issues, offering $924.2k (A$1.5m) in ‘Women’s Health Research Catalyst Grants’.
Grants between approximately $31,000 (A$50,000) and $92,400 (A$150,000) will be awarded for one-year research projects focusing on sex and gender comparisons or under-researched conditions affecting women.
Key areas for research include sexual and reproductive health, cardiovascular health, oncology, orthopaedics, and chronic pain.
Applicants must be affiliated with a Victorian Administering Institution and conduct research in fields such as discovery, pre-clinical, clinical, or lived experience studies.
