Australia opens $12.6m grant for international clinical trials and evidence-based healthcare

The Australian Government has opened applications for the 2024 International Clinical Trial Collaborations grant opportunity, with $12.6m worth of funding.
The funding will be sourced from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).
The grant opportunity will back projects that endorse Australia’s involvement in international research with clinical trial sites and support high-quality evidence of the efficacy of novel health treatments, drugs, or devices in Australia.

The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) has supported Australian health and medical research with a $20b long-term investment, aimed to elevate health and medical research for the improvement of Australia’s healthcare system.
Under its Clinical Trials Activity initiative, the agency will provide $750m over 10 years from 2022-23 to 2031-32, aiding Australian researchers and patients in researching new treatments through national and international clinical trials.
