Its development coincides with the upcoming $173.4m (A$260m) Eurobodalla Regional Hospital.
The Australian government has announced an investment of $13.4m (A$20m) to develop an upcoming community health facility in the Batemans Bay area.
The new facility, located on the existing Batemans Bay Hospital site, is set to provide improved access to services emphasising allied health, aboriginal health, wound management, and palliative care amongst others.
“Batemans Bay Community Health is being planned and designed to work together with the new $173.4m (A$260m) Eurobodalla Regional Hospital, as part of the Eurobodalla Health Service, to provide the community with greater access to care, closer to home,” Regional Health Minister, Ryan Park, said.
Meanwhile, an artist's impression of the facility has been made including a building with different health services, a car park, and external seating areas.
