How is Malaysia dealing with its ageing population?
Suresh Ponnudurai, CEO of malaysiahealthcare, will give an overview.
With 15 years of experience working with multinational companies in the US, as well as companies in Malaysia, Suresh Ponnudurai founded malaysiahealthcare (www.malaysiahealthcare.com), the leading platform promoting globally as a healthcare destination since 2003.
An alumnus of the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, Suresh initiated the joint venture of malaysiahealthcare and Patient Practitioners/Marquez Investment from the US, forming the World of Wellness (WoW), a global platform that promotes global destinations for healthcare with the patented Personal Health Record (PHR) called the iPHER.
Suresh will be talking about Aged Care in Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur leg of the upcoming inaugural Healthcare Asia Forum 2016. Here’s more about Suresh:
HCA: What are your previous experiences and positions held that contributed to who you are today as a healthcare practitioner?
I have been focused in health care since 2006 till present. I am the Founder and CEO of malaysiahealthcare that promotes and markets Malaysia as a premier health care destination globally. Apart from Medical Tourism services I am also in health care technology and have a global brand in "malaysiahealthcare" having spoken at global conferences with respect to PHR's (Personal Health Record) where patients can now "own" their own health. This has now evolved into the aged care services as Malaysia's population gets older and the health care needs are more relevant and important.
HCA: What are your key healthcare philosophies and ideologies?
Health is Wealth but Wealth is not Health! Whilst most are keen to get into health as the opportunities are great we need to focus on the patient and not the providers. Health care should be available for all and never turned down no matter what as we are all human.
HCA: Can you give us a glimpse of what you will talk about at the 2016 Healthcare Asia Forum?
My talk will focus on the impact of health care on an aging nation and what we need to be aware of in terms of who are the stakeholders, their roles and the present situation of where we are now with in Malaysia.
