AI in healthcare takes the spotlight leading up to Medical Taiwan 2024

Smart Medical Products Unveiled at Major Industry Event

In anticipation of the upcoming Medical Taiwan 2024, a pre-exhibition press conference showcased cutting-edge developments in AI and healthcare, setting the stage for a transformative event in the medical industry.

Medical Taiwan 2024, slated to take place from June 20 to 22 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2 (TaiNex2), promises to be a groundbreaking event. At a press conference held today, industry leaders from the Taiwan Medical and Biotech Industry Association, the Taiwan Federation of Medical Devices Commercial Associations, and major hospitals discussed the latest trends and unveiled new smart medical products.

As the healthcare industry increasingly embraces digitalization, Medical Taiwan 2024 will feature three key themes: All-age Healthcare, Smart Medical, and Supply Chain Gallery. This year's event has seen an 11% increase in exhibitors, with 280 companies from 10 countries and over 500 international buyers registered to attend. More than 200 in-person procurement meetings are expected, highlighting the global interest in Taiwan's healthcare innovations.

Joe Chou, TAITRA’s Executive VP, emphasized the event's highlights, particularly the Smart Medical Pavilion and the Telemedicine and Smart Medical Devices Pavilion. These pavilions will feature real-world medical scenarios, such as simulated operating rooms and home care settings, showcasing advancements in telemedicine and precision diagnostics. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore high-end medical equipment and discuss business opportunities in an immersive setting.

The post-pandemic era has accelerated AI applications in healthcare, leading to a digital revolution. Taiwan's robust medical device industry is attracting tech giants to develop innovative smart medical technologies through cross-sector partnerships. This collaboration aims to establish smart healthcare as a significant economic pillar for Taiwan, akin to its globally renowned semiconductor industry.

Netown introduced Babybot, an AI-powered intelligent sports equipment that tailors exercise routines to individual needs. Advantech showcased the AMiS-850 electronic drug storage cabinet, featuring electric height adjustment for enhanced mobility. Chang Gung Medical, Medimaging Integrated Solution, and Leltek highlighted their telemedicine innovations, including handheld wireless ultrasound and mobile diagnostic systems. BenQ Materials presented the Qflux dialyzer and Anscare ChitoClot Gauze for effective hemorrhagic wound care.

TAITRA will also host several forums during the exhibition. The Asia and Central and Eastern Europe Medical Trends Forum will discuss market trends in various countries, while the Building Elderly Care and Telemedicine Applications with Smart Devices forum will feature insights from companies like Decentralized Biotechnology and Huijia Health.
