Malaysia’s KMC to launch AI‑powered MRI system to boost diagnostic capacity

The MRI uses AI-powered imaging and Zero Helium technology.

KMC Medical Centre has signed a memorandum of understanding (Mou) with FUJIFILM Malaysia and City Motors Group to introduce a new MRI system for the Perak community.

The new MRI features AI-powered imaging for faster, clearer scans and Zero Helium technology for sustainability and uninterrupted service.

The advanced MRI system will support early and precise diagnosis of neurological, musculoskeletal, and chronic conditions, aiding in improved treatment planning and patient outcomes.

The new MRI service at KMC Medical Centre is expected to serve patients from Ipoh and surrounding districts.

Additionally, the initiative is expected to complement public healthcare efforts by alleviating the patient load on government hospitals.

The signing was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sivanesan Achalingam, Chairman of the State Executive Council Committee for Health, Human Resources, National Integration and Indian Affairs, and State Assemblyman for Sungkai, along with representatives from all three organisations.
