Kapadia Hospital adopts MISSO system for knee replacement surgeries

Kapadia Hospital in Mumbai, India, has adopted the MISSO robotic surgical system for knee replacement surgeries.
The system uses software that incorporates real-time data to generate a 3D model of a patient’s anatomy.
It features a six-axis robot arm, an optical camera for tracking, and robotic guidance tools that allow intraoperative adjustments.
The MISSO system improves surgical precision, safety, and efficiency, said Rahul Modi, an orthopaedic surgeon at Kapadia Hospital.
“We are excited to bring Mumbai's first artificial intelligence-based robotic knee replacement system to the region,” Modi added.
At present, the hospital has completed over 100 robotic surgeries.
