Bulacan province unveils Philippines’ first locally funded MRI unit
It features an open-architecture design.
The Province of Bulacan has inaugurated the Philippines’ first magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) facility funded by a local government unit.
The MRI system, located at the Bulacan Medical Center, was developed by medical imaging technology firm Time Medical Systems.
It is equipped with a built-in teleradiology function that enables radiologists to review and interpret scan results remotely and in real time.
The unit features an open-architecture design and uses a helium-free, permanent magnet to reduce operational and maintenance requirements.
