NTUH launches centre for robotic and innovative surgery

CRIS focuses on clinical application, training, and research and innovation.

National Taiwan University Hospital has launched its “Center for Robotic and Innovative Surgery” (CRIS) during a ceremony marking the donation of the da Vinci SP single-port robotic surgical system.

CRIS will focus on clinical application, professional training, and research and innovation in robotic surgery.

Meanwhile, the da Vinci system features a single incision entry point, 3D visualisation, and flexible multi-jointed instruments.

The technology was donated by Eng Meng Tsai, Chairman of the Want Want Group.
