The Australian government has awarded a $603,000 (A$935,000) grant to Cancer Council Victoria to expand its financial counselling service.
The latest grant will allow the organisation to increase its financial counselling services by 20 per cent over the next two years.
Moreover, the council will pilot the use of artificial intelligence to provide more real-time support to more Victorians.
The service gives cancer patients advice and guidance to help manage the costs associated with accessing treatment.
