I.E. Medica bags Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards for supply chain initiative

Its potential accreditation for AEO can enhance the nation’s supply chain requirements.

Pharmaceutical importer I.E. Medica won the Supply Chain Initiative of the Year - Philippines at the recently held Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards for consistently implementing ways to enhance its operational efficiencies in its end-to-end supply chain solutions.

These efficiencies are driven by the need to continuously improve its supply chain operations to comply with Philippine Customs Administration import guidelines: from obtaining the Super Green Lane certificate in 2017 to having demonstrated its initial compliance with the cargo security risk management framework required for accreditation as Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)-Importer.

“The Pharmaceutical industry is heavily dependent on importation; thus, we continuously look for ways to improve our supply chain operations. Our pioneering initiative to obtain AEO accreditation increases assurance on the quality and safety of the products we bring to our customers and partners, and to the Filipinos,” said Monaliza Salian, I.E. Medica President and CEO.

Being on track to securing the Level 1 AEO Certification not only affirms I.E. Medica’s observance of supply chain security standards; but the benefits of improved accessibility brought about by streamlined import-export systems across borders, following the AEO Certification, ultimately redound to the Filipinos.

The Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards honours outstanding pharma companies in Asia that have demonstrated unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence and have redefined pharmaceutical excellence.
