Apollo Hospitals collaborate with UAE-based hospital in telemedicine

The cooperation also covers training and laboratory referral services.

India-based Apollo Hospitals Group has agreed to cooperate with RAK Hospital, allowing their medical teams to remotely provide health services to each other’s hospitals, the United Arab Emirates-based healthcare provider said in a press release.

RAK Hospital said the partnership will cover training, telemedicine services, academics, and laboratory referral services with the aim to “cooperatively advance the field of health” by utilising the latest medical technology.

Apollo Hospitals said it operates over 50 hospitals, 1,350 pharmacies, 100 primary care and diagnostic clinics, and 100 telemedicine units across nine countries, as well as medical business process outsourcing services and health insurance services.

RAK Hospital, touted to have more than 75 doctors, and 400 nurses and support staff, provides specializations including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, surgery, and cardiology.
