Singapore’s NKF expands with new dialysis centre in Bedok
The facility offers 25 dialysis stations, increasing its capacity to serve 150 patients weekly.
Singapore’s National Kidney Foundation (NKF) has officially launched its new dialysis centre in Bedok.
The new centre at Blk 27 New Upper Changi Road features 25 dialysis stations, increasing its weekly capacity to serve 150 patients from 114, and will also offer psychosocial support services.
“Alongside our hospitals, polyclinics, and general practitioners (GPs), organisations like NKF play an important role in providing such support to patients,” Deputy Prime Minister, Heng Swee Keat, said.
“These centres bring dialysis support into the communities, reducing wait times and costs for patients and their families,” Heng added.
Currently, the organisation has established 41 facilities across the island, including the new centre.
