Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital’s new ward offers integrated nursing care service

This marks the hospital’s third ward dedicated to haematology.

Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital in South Korea has unveiled its new integrated nursing care service ward for haematology patients and enhanced infection control.

The new ward sees nurses and nurse assistants in a collaborative environment to provide 24-hour service, allowing patients to receive specialised care and reduce the burden of caregiving costs.

"The opening of the integrated nursing care service ward is meaningful in that it is in line with the national policy of expanding nursing care service wards and operates in a ward with a high proportion of critically ill patients," Catholic Hematology Hospital Head, Hee-Je Kim, said.

"We will continue our efforts to become a haematology hospital that patients and families can trust by providing quality medical services based on our patient-centred treatment and nursing philosophy,” Kim added.

The newly launched unit serves as the hospital’s third ward dedicated to haematology.
