India’s InnerHour launches free psychotherapy for healthcare workers

The therapy can be done in eight different languages.

India-based mental health care app, InnerHour, has launched Mind Care+, to offer pro bono psychotherapy sessions to healthcare workers across India, the company announced through its social media channel.

Through an initiative supported by local conglomerate Godrej, the service offers a team of over 120 mental health professionals providing therapy in eight different Indian languages.

The company noted that the country’s healthcare workers are currently facing stress, anxiety, and loss. “As they prioritise the needs of others at this time, they may not have the support they themselves need to keep going,” InnerHour said.

According to the company website, InnerHour was established by Amit Malik with the vision of solving a mental health treatment gap in India, making use of his clinical expertise as a psychiatrist in the UK for 15 years, along with his operational and commercial experience of managing large-scale mental health services.
