Sunway Medical Centre Velocity deploys six-in-one cardiac diagnostic platform

It cuts administrative workload and improves turnaround time.

Sunway Medical Centre Velocity (SMCV) has become the first hospital in Southeast Asia to deploy the comprehensive NORAV Clinical Management System, integrating six diagnostic services into a single digital platform.

In a press release, it said the NORAV Medical ECG Management System (NEMS) Web platform combines electrocardiogram (ECG), cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function testing, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and ankle-brachial pressure index testing into one connected workflow.

Authorised healthcare professionals can access patient diagnostic information and reports from anywhere within the hospital in real time.

By replacing fragmented, manual processes with a unified digital workflow, the system cuts administrative workload and improves turnaround time for diagnostic reports. Clinicians can review current and historical records more efficiently and coordinate more easily across multidisciplinary teams.

CEO of SMCV, Jordan Meshil, noted that before integration, moving a single result between departments required several manual steps; the new system consolidates outputs from each diagnostic service into one record.

The digitalisation of ECG reports and other diagnostic data is expected to cut SMCV's ECG paper usage by up to 50%, supporting the hospital's sustainability efforts alongside gains in operational efficiency.

The deployment is part of SMCV's broader push to strengthen sustainability, improve operational efficiency and deliver a more connected patient experience.
