Abu Dhabi’s new smart ambulances put advanced care on the road

It features medical equipment, including a fully integrated incubator.

Abu Dhabi has unveiled a new set of specialised smart ambulances, designed to support patients requiring advanced care from the earliest moments of emergency response.

The new fleet includes mobile intensive care unit (ICU) ambulances, maternal and neonatal ambulances, and ambulances designed for patients with additional mobility and transport needs.

It features medical equipment such as ultrasound systems, infusion pumps, ventilators and a fully integrated incubator.

The ambulances transporting patients with severe obesity are equipped with specialised loading platforms and stretchers capable of supporting approximately 350 kilograms.

The initiative is a joint effort between the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre.
