APAC to command 32.3% share of smart hospital market by 2032

The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is expected to account for the largest share of the global smart hospital market at about 32.3% in 2032, according to MarketsandMarkets.
The research firm said growth is driven by rapid healthcare digitalisation, expanding hospital infrastructure, and investments in healthcare technologies across major economies.
It added that the region has a strong focus on smart healthcare initiatives, electronic health records, telemedicine, artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled diagnostics, and hospital automation.
Hospitals are increasingly deploying AI, Internet of Medical Things, cloud computing, advanced connectivity, and automation to improve clinical decision-making, patient monitoring, workflow efficiency, and resource utilisation.

Globally, the smart hospital market is projected to reach $246.17b in 2032 from $134.69b in 2026, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.6%.
The hardware segment is expected to hold the largest share by offering, whilst the software segment is forecast to record the highest CAGR, driven by the adoption of digital healthcare platforms, AI-enabled applications, and integrated hospital information systems.
The cloud-based segment is forecast to record the highest CAGR of about 20.6% by deployment mode, supported by demand for scalable data management, centralised access, and interoperable digital infrastructure.
Wi-Fi is projected to have the highest CAGR of about 18.7% by connectivity technology, whilst artificial intelligence and machine learning are expected to record the highest CAGR by technology.
By application, remote patient monitoring is expected to record the highest CAGR of about 15.9%, whilst public and private hospitals are expected to dominate by end user.
